STOKVIS TAPES GROUP’s growth and future rely on a healthy planet and sustainable practices along the entire value chain. We strongly believe environmental responsibility and sustainability merit ongoing evaluation and continuous improvement in both programs and processes.

OUR COMMITMENTS
In close collaboration with customers, employees, and supply chain partners, we are taking ambitious steps towards a sustainable future by focusing our actions on unsustainable consumption, climate change, and growing inequality in the societies we work and live in.

Consistent with our values and aligned with our business model, the STOKVIS TAPES GROUP addresses environmental and sustainability management through its global operations. The Board of Directors and our local teams are dedicated to support global environmental sustainability and especially the reduction of our carbon footprint with the final aim of turning the business carbon neutral around 2030.

In focusing our strategy on sustainability, we have set our targets for 2030 and beyond to make a relevant contribution to achieving those of the 17 United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) which we believe we can positively impact given our core competencies and future vision for our business. After careful analysis of all 17 SDGs, we are prioritizing our actions on the following: contributing to affordable and clean energy (SDG 7), responsible consumption and production (SDG 12) and reducing greenhouse gas emissions drastically, i.e., taking climate action (SDG 13). In addition, we already today actively promote gender equality (SDG 5) in our teams globally as well as safeguarding our employees and partners, making decent work and economic growth a reality (SDG 8).

• Compliance: Each of our operations are committed to ensuring that its facilities and products are compliant with applicable laws and regulations around the globe, including those pertaining to human rights, as well as environmental, health and safety laws that protect the well-being of employees and laws against slavery, human trafficking, and child labor.
• Responsible Sourcing: Working with suppliers who operate with similar dedication to global environmental sustainability. They must comply with applicable statutory regulations regarding environmental protection, energy saving, occupational health and safety, and keeping the negative impact on people and the environment as low as possible.
• Environmental Innovation: Partnering with our customers in innovating #effectivesolutions that address their needs for environmentally responsible products and clean technology.

The STOKVIS TAPES GROUP constantly examines ways to reduce the negative impact of its operations and supply chain on the environment, how to reduce waste and preserve natural resources. We keep ourselves and partners accountable to deliver transparency regarding environmental sustainability through publications such as our annual Corporate Sustainability Report.
